Dr. Razan graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India. Since then, she has been practicing at Master Dental Care Centre, where she has gained over eight years of clinical experience. From the beginning of her career, she has closely worked alongside and trained under the guidance of Senior dental surgeon Dr. Ahmed Saleem, developing her clinical skills with great dedication and passion.
Dr. Razan actively participates in professional development and continuing education, keeping herself updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques. She has attended several dental seminars and conferences, including the First International Dental Conference, Maldives (July 2025) organized by the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Razan is deeply committed to community outreach and public health education. She has led numerous oral health awareness sessions and free dental screening programs conducted by Master Dental Care Centre for schools and workplaces across the Maldives. She has also taken initiative in oral cancer screening programs in collaboration with the Cancer Society of Maldives and has participated in public education on oral hygiene and oral cancer awareness through platforms such as national radio.
Dr. Razan was appointed as the Clinical Director for Special Smiles, a program under Special Olympics Maldives, in 2023. In this voluntary leadership role, she helps advance oral health care and awareness for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
She also has a special interest in Pediatric dentistry (Pedodontics) and is passionate about providing gentle and supportive dental care for children, helping them develop positive dental experiences from an early age.
For Dr. Razan, her patients always come first—she takes the time to genuinely listen, understand their concerns, and provide care with compassion and understanding, helping even the most anxious patients, especially children, overcome fear and build positive dental experiences.
